ABSTRACT

Extension in the life cycle of materials: art or sustainable materials?

Ana Martínez

A material is any portion of matter to which humans have decided to give utility. Most of the materials end up as waste, so it is essential to think about them differently. Sustainable materials are that, materials whose life is long to take long to become garbage. Presented here is one way in which we can contribute to making sustainable materials. The materials are also those who have been chosen to make an artistic expression. These, when the works of art are very good, never end as part of the garbage. What we would like for sustainable materials is that they were as good as art and never finished forming part of the waste we throw away.
