The First Digital Object Repository Related with Dance at the UNAM. Tecnical Challenges

A digital object repository is a software that allows catalogation, publication and recovering of digital object and their respective metadata, with the purpose granting different audiences the access to these materials from informatic networks or the Internet. With this in Mind, the UNAM’s Direction of Dance decided to create its own repository in order to divulgate several dancistic events recorded in its instalations. This article is focused on the technological challenges that those involved in the development of the Dance Repository UNAM en Movimiento had to face, to create this collection of videos, photographs and playbills, properly digitalized and catalogued for recovering.
