Among the most discussed effects on climate change is its impact on biodiversity and, although less noticeable, specifically on insects due to their high sensitivity to variations in climate and habitat. Fireflies are no exception, as they require high humidity and specific temperature ranges to develop. This paper discusses the impacts of climate change on fireflies living in the Nanacamilpa sanctuaries in Tlaxcala and, with it, the implications for local ecotourism. Some actions to be carried out to mitigate these impacts are also presented.
