This article presents a survey on two important characters in Spanish chivalric romance: the errant knight and the virgo bellatrix. The text is focused on the desire for departure and travel of these two characters, and the adventures that come with it, that will finally end in glory and knowledge for both of them. The aspects that define these characters make them very attractive figures for readers of all times because of the universal values and feelings that they represent.
