The Mexican Kangaroos: Main Aspects of their Ecology and Conservation

Mexican deserts are inhabited by the charismatic kangaroo rats. These rodents stand out both for their diversity and for the different services they provide to ecosystems. Some of the group’s species are in danger of extinction due to the severe transformations of their habitat. This article will address the main biological and ecological aspects of kangaroo rats in Mexico, as well as some of the conservation risks they face.
