In 2013 it was the 100th anniversary of the first publication that mentions the presence of dinosaurs in Mexico. This text seeks to show the genera and species of Mexican dinosaurs and also directing the audience to the most recent sources that collect additional data about this important group of organisms.
It has been published about 50 Mexican localities where dinosaur fossils have been found, amounting to 15 families with 20 taxa, including six unique species described to our country.
In the second decade of the XXI century, there are three books and several articles that answer the questions posed in the title of this article. It highlights the text The fossil record of dinosaurs in Mexico, which it was done an integrative analysis of all data, allowing an assessment of the current state of knowledge of this group of animals in Mexico: past and current trends of study and patterns that link the sites of the discoveries and the level of knowledge of each one.
