The Right to Health and Migration: an Unavoidable Relation

The political instability along with the stagnation of economic growth have caused that the human movements increase and turn into a bigger challenge, particularly, to the public health from the receiving countries. The migrant’s health status constitute an essential asset to the overall development of their capabilities, their job performance, their social participation, summing up, their productive and pacific contribution. Having a good health not only benefit the migrants themselves, but also it has macro social and macroeconomic implications in the duty station as well as their places of origin. This document describes some of the complex issues about public health that presents migration as human rights framework. Furthermore, it pretends to indicate the variable character of its vulnerability and moreover some main challenges that migration raise for the sanitary policy planners.
