Abstract

The present work aims at providing clarifications about the origins and formation of a textual class called short fiction to the stabilization of its generic status in Argentina. There are two features that singles this kind of writing from their first modernist expressions to our days these are the generic and discursive hybridity and the marked working on language; beyond of these invariants, convergences and fractures which show the simultaneous co-presence of esthetics and styles in the literary mediatory evidence development.
