Modern society deals with many challenges, among them education stands out. More than a discipline, education is a field of study that contains people, events, institutions and processes that interact among themselves for learning to occur. One of the fundamental elements of this complex social ecosystem is the teacher, who dedicates great effort to support and generate student learning, frequently with limited resources, adverse contexts and limited training in the educational process. It is crucial to identify teachers’ needs in the different educational levels and establish actions to fulfill them, accompanied with formal and informal recognition by their institutions, peers and society. The internal motivation of teachers needs to be complemented with better scenarios, dignified and respectable to practice teaching appropriately.
